Hi LInda - I was glad to see I was listed in the class of '68 -- even though I actually graduated in '67. I would so much rather come to the '68 reunion, so thanks and keep up the good work.
Betsy
Hi from the frosty North Country.
Thanks Linda for putting this together and the reunion info you sent out. Unfortunately my wife and I won't make it to the reunion but it sounds like a 'Blast From The Past!' Good luck with it.
A short update on my life: I went up to the BWCWA and became a fishing guide. Wasn't too good of a guide because i got lost and stayed. Really I love this area and have made it my home for most of the 40 years past.
I live in a small town 200 miles due north of Mpls/St. Paul & 95 miles south of International Falls, MN on what's called Da' Range. Actually it's the Mesabi Iron Range where they open pit mine ore for steel making. They make fun of my slight Okie accent and i make fun of their accents - kinda like Chicago style accents. Yes the winters are very cold - -60 deg. F. nearby in 1996 and it has been over 100 deg. F. on rare occassions. About 100' of snow on the avg. year also.
I'm married for the 2nd time and have 2 grown daughters from my 1st marraige, worked mostly in sales, did some raadio announcing, changed careers and drove OTR truck till my health forced me off the road. i had to 'retire' but still drive of all things, school bus.
I learned how to custom build fishing rods in 1967 and have done it ever since, trying to make a small business of it but right now the economy is getting the best of it. I love teaching others how to make their own also.
I'd love to hear from any of you so drop me a email if you get the chance.
By the way, 'Minnesota Nice' is truly a way of life up here.
Have a great time - wish i could make it!
